My work is fluid, moving, evocative of a person, a time, and a place — or of the interaction between people. This is not about formal studio portraits. This is lifestyle photography. It’s about you, your life, your surroundings, your personality. That’s why I work on your territory; not mine.
Be happy
The Nicky Adams experience is about you enjoying yourself too, about
you having a fun and memorable day. To get there I need to know you,
to understand what’s important to you. So we’ll spend time together,
perhaps chatting over coffee, before looking at outfits and choosing
your natural setting.
It may be in your home, garden or other favourite location for you or
your family. It may be the woods, the sand dunes or by the river.
It may be your garden shed. There are as many possibilities as there
are personalities but the choice of setting holds a key to the overall
story. Everyone is more relaxed in a familiar and natural environment
and, children especially, will focus on something, go into their own
world — providing perfect opportunities to seize the mood, the
expression, the person. Nicky Adams photography is about the
moment and the memory.
